When it’s dark and rainy outside and you have someone (anyone) coming towards you, you lose all sight of the lane lines. It really sucks, even when they’re aimed up a little (still within the DOT mandated aim height)
The Miata has LED projectors retrofitted into the stock housings, but they’re only 23” off the ground. It has better lighting and I prefer it at night. That’s sad.
