Correct. That's what I used on my 250 and my Moto Guzzi, over the color coats. For the 250 it took 2 cans to do just the parts I kept, so I can imagine it would take 3 to include the fairings. I used Duplicolor lacquer for the metallic red, but I won't use it again. It's very finicky and very vulnerable to gasoline spills. Luckily the Spraymax 2K is protecting it well, and a little spillage at the gas station doesn't hurt it at all.
If you don't finish the can of Spraymax, you can keep it in the refrigerator for at least a week, maybe a little longer. I used some that was a week old without any problem, but I let it warm up thoroughly before I sprayed it.
