A lot of bikes are like that, like my 2020 MT-07. I assume it's the norm now. I knew a guy who lived in England who died when his 1972 motorcycle's stand was down and it threw him into oncoming traffic when he made a left turn. I don't mind the interlock at all, but if it acts up and kills ignition when it shouldn't, it would certainly be startling.
