Correct. The stock wheel and the VRossi PnP replacement are about 5.5" wide at the hub (not including the sprocket carrier/cush drive stuff). Going from a 3.5" stocker to a 4.5" VRossi isn't an issue.

If you were going to a much wider wheel, or on a different bike, you'd definitely want to check out the spacing details at the hub and rim to ensure that the chain will clear everything and line up. But it is possible (as seen with these PnP replacements) to make a wheel to take a wider tire without altering the other details of the drive/wheel - making the wheel 1" wider at the tire doesn't necessarily force the sprocket over 1/2".
