I received the new gauge cluster and plugged it in........drum roll please.....
it WORKS!!!

The water 💦 is what shorted out the original gauge cluster. It was a pain to take the side fairings and nose piece off to swap out the gauge cluster but it’s done ✅. I have taken the bike for a spin and all is well!
