No I kept the Ground in the same terminal.... but the machine just didn't work.... it worked great for stick welding, I welded aluminum stick welding on the bark busters on the Kids bike that I busted by falling over trying to start that tall thing..... ( t'was quite embarrassing!) but I did weld it up and fix it nicely.... it's stronger than the other one now !

must change ground-clamp to red terminal when switching from stick to TIG mode because torche is NEGATIVE. No way around that. Next welder won't work either until you do that.
Take that steel-braided brake hose earlier.
Touch one end to battery -neg terminal.
Then touch other end to same -neg terminal.
What happens?
