Actually my 198? Yamaha SRV250 has this feature and I really miss it on the Ninja 250R. When there is enough oncoming traffic that you can't leave your brights on all the time, but still want to illuminate a corner that you're coming into, this little switch is perfect, quick & easy.
The Yamaha headlight moves with the forks so I feel I get better corner lighting with it, then again I think my ninja lights could be adjusted up a little higher...
Anywho, when you're coming into a corner at night and start to feel a little uncertain about it, this little switch will brighten things up to help give you confidence so you can avoid making mistakes. All without major movement of your hand.
