It's not absolute voltage that matters, but voltage differential. Fully-charged battery just after ride or off charger is about 13.5v, so 12v at grey wire would be detected correctly. Measure voltage by back-probing ignitor connector with key ON:
- grey = ?
- blue/red = ?
Also determine pin-outs of aftermarket ignition-switch and verify it matches factory unit. Then measure input-voltage and output-voltage at all output terminals.
