If it had been a choice between and R3 and a Ninja400 I would probably have gone with the Yammi. A 400 seems like an intimidating choice as a newbie.
Maybe someone will re-introduce a small bike once everybody makes their bikes bigger. It's like cars- the Mini started out little and cute, and every year gets a little bigger... expecting a new model soon which is the size of the original Mini.
