Very true, I just preferred the options of changing the shock oil, and adjustable air suspension so to speak that the ZX600 shock offered.
I put 15wt synthetic and adjustable air is a nice touch when riding 2 up sometimes.
On my EX500 I resprung the OEM shock with one from PRO SPRING, 500lbs spring very nice, easy and inexpensive modification.
