Feels damn good when you sit down after and you just feel mellow and relaxed, content.
That's what's great about exercise, the further you push it, the better you feel after, and the more benefit you get from the workout.
I urge you to push for a 4th mile next time you run... maybe a 5th.
People severely underestimate their potential and what their personal "best" is. Maybe run 3, then sit down and let your heart rate return to normal for a few minutes, then get up and jog another mile.
Sometimes I do that, and then I do another. And another. And another. and it blows my mind because I just can't seem to stop. Goddamn energizer bunny inside me or something.. but then your legs hurt the next day but that's not the end of the world.

Oh yea! I love it when those endorphins are kicking in after a run. The best natural high you can get.
