With some notable exceptions usually traceable back to piss-poor management decisions, GM engineering is some of the best out there. It's when the bean counters and their management lackeys get involved that the problems occur, thankfully not as often as most would like to believe.

I'd use GM parts in a heartbeat because they're bulletproof and reliable, not to mention ubiquitous and fairly affordable.
