As a rider, I accept there are bikes which present more challenge to perform under demanding conditions... but it is up to the rider to make a bike perform at its capabilities. Don't blame the bike if it's not doing what you want it to do.

2017 Honda Rebel 500 for $6k is a good price point for new riders to get intro to motorcycling (easier on the wallet than HD entry ride). The ergo of the bike seems to target easy maneuverability over top speed performance, which is a sensible priority for new riders. Honda engine reliability would be something to be expected from these bikes.
More bikes on the road; better for the motorcycling community in general.
