Key things for every corner:
Look: for traffic, road conditions, pedestrians.
Choose a proper entry speed: enter slow, leave fast.
Select your line: according to traffic and road conditions (oil tracks, white markings, surface defects, sand).
Open the throttle: sooner than later and don't close it again (never downshift).

Practice emergency stops during turns in your spare time and away from traffic.
