About to buy a butt-ugly 2009 250r....

Hi everyone. First time poster here.

I used to have a 2006 250r, and then I stopped riding for a few years. I recently got the itch again after moving back to NM, and my wife convinced me to get a Honda Rebel for the "safety factor" of having a cruiser vs. a sports bike.

I had it for literally a week and then sold it. I missed the Ninja feel and have been on the prowl for a while.

So tomorrow I'm going to look at a 2009 250r with 8,000 miles on it. The bad thing is that it's hideous.

So my question is, how hard will it be to replace the tank, front fender, and all fairings? I want to do it a bit at a time, kind of like a summer project. I have no experience working on motorcycles other than changing the oil and washing it.

I see a lot of 2009 fairing kits on eBay. Do those include all the nuts and bolts, or is it expected that I will use the old ones?

And how can I confirm that this is, in fact, a 2009?

Thanks for reading!
