You need more than hope! Prepare to defend your case, they show up now pretty much 100%. Depending upon jurisdiction, they are
required to show up and sometimes gets paid overtime.
So, go back and get photo & videos of the area. Work up aerial diagrams of road section in question using Google Maps. Draw your path on the diagram showing where your tyres were on the road. Lane-splitting has nothing to do with this violation. The contention is whether you changed lanes
before it went to solid line.
You might be able to argue that since the officer's line-of-sight was from directly ahead of you, he may not have been able discern the exact moment the line went solid relative to your position.
