The 500 motor is also a rather cost effective upgrade since they can normally be found for less money than the 250. To even consider making a kit for something like this, you need to make sure the raw parts are easy to obtain. Putting a 400cc motor in would have been ideal, but lack of availability certainly tossed that idea.
