slowandlow but I would not use coke containers. drinking water out of plastic if the plastic has heated up is not a good idea. also, if you have a water bottle that is only 1/3 full, you are wasting valuable space because the bottle still takes up the same amount of room in your pack.

buy the BEST gear you can afford. if you skimp on pennies you will literally feel it in pounds later.
good call on the deuter backpack, that's what mine is too-- it should make your load EASIER to carry, not harder! what size is it in terms of liters?
