Don't forget Ducati's method, not just sport and supersport like Kawi, but Supersport and special supersport.

They have the Panigale, then they have the Panigale R with all the fancy Titanium fractured rods and fun suspension bits and moar amazingballz-ier brakes, etc etc. All so it can be considered a production bike for the homologation rules.

Just a thought, but maybe this is why Honda revealed the CBR250RR when they did?? They have the standard baby cibber for the cheap public, then the RR version to be race legal and give them a leg up. idk. I'm completely talking out my rearward orifice right now, but it's something.
