Keep in mind that any super-trick, wiz-bang, production racer model that proves to be the hot ticket will be restricted in some way to bring it back down to the same level as the others.

NHRA Pro Stock drag racing has a similar formula. Once something starts to dominate there are changes made (RPM limits, added weight) to level the playing field.

It's not like the good old days where one bike could completely dominate the others until the other manufactures stepped it up.

Now days they take the top machine and dumb it down.
