NEVER EVER clean carbs with safety wire!

Bought a used junker "race bike". I knew it would need lots of TLC to make it my spec track worthy and it did not disappoint. However, I could never get it to run right and dyno showed the same. Adjusting idle mix screws did nothing, changing pilots did nothing and finally I found out why. Complete and total tear down, inspection and a little bit of bore scope revealed a piece of safety wire stuck in a carb passage. Ya'll wanna know why it's preached to never use wire to clean a carb, here's your WHY.

Pics of a clean port vs the offender that explains all the issues I was having. Thanks to Ducatiman for selling me a set of carbs that I know will be spotless, trouble free and all I need to add are my race jets and go!
