What's the deal with not wearing a helmet when bicycling on roads? Your chance of being in an accident (on a per-mile travelled basis) is greater riding a bicycle on the street than it is riding a motorcycle on the street.
Yeah, you go slower on a bicycle, but your head is still subject to the same 6 foot drop as it'd see in a motorcycle accident.
But you gotta manage your own risk.
