Speed differential is such a common cause of crashes.

Any time you are going faster than the traffic around you the potential for a crash goes up, way up. Unfortunately, a lot of riders seem to believe that going faster than the traffic around them is the primary purpose of a motorcycle.

Go on Youtube and watch a few of the motorcycle crash compilations that are so common. If you're paying attention to it you'll quickly notice that speed differential plays a part in many of the crashes.
