So I finally made a half way decent exhaust mount for the yoshi pipe and the strapping kinda hides the sizeable dent in the can. I need to get my hands on some kind of rubber insulation for the pipe otherwise I’m sure the steel banding will cut through the aluminum muffler. Also was able to jet the carbs. There is still a slight stumble around 5/6k that the ninja wiki points to the needles needing to be raised. I’ll get to that probably this weekend. I also fitted a silencer into the exhaust. I basically just welded it to the perforated tubing inside then put new rivets back in. It’s not so barky as it was before. Still a little loud but not as pronounced. I also attempted using jb weld on the tank and hope that it holds for the rest of the season. I let the mixture cure for a whole 2 days before adding gas. The directions say fully cured after 17hrs but I figured I have the time, why rush it.
I’m basically done with this project at this point. There may be minor things I add or change from now but as it sits, it a fun little bike.
