My bike is almost purely a commuter, so I'm pushing it off until I need it (or I find a great deal) so it doesn't jump into my student budget
Also, I repainted my hugger with shiny black "paint for plastics" I had lying around. I've used that on my OEM chain guard and its stood up to a couple months of use so far.
The surface of the hugger is pretty rough and ready for paint and if you let it set properly you shouldn't need to clear coat it.

Jono Have you personally used that stuff before? My throttle and turn signal housings are pretty gray from age and I was wondering if that would work. I don't want to darken the white lettering and the cut off switch though.
