That is beyond my experience, but if you tried it, I would make a surgical drape, and be VERY careful nothing could get past the exposed area. I might even tape around that eposed part, which should only be as large as it needs to be. Removing the engine would make this even easier/safer to do..... I know that's a pain, sorry.
