Since I may be the only one dumb enough to do this, thought I would share.

Ended up staying in Wendover, on I-80 at the Nevada/Utah border. Just beyond is the famous salt flats where the true speed junkies come out to see how fast they really can go, the Bonneville Salt Flats International Speedway. The area of the speedway is really really hard packed so even though some of the salt flat was showing standing water, where I went there was nothing but clear smooth salt to ride on.

It all started it a photo op.

Which led to me getting out onto the flats a bit until I found some traffic cones marking a path. Since I was out here, why not?

Got up to 87 that I saw but I was starting to get a bit unstable with my luggage on board so didn't push it further.

Unfortunately, that led to this...

Yes, all that white junk is ALL SALT!
