Seems your tipovers may have loosened or broken something. My personal philosophy is that things are in one of two states: working and non-working. Typically what causes things to flip states from working to non-working is some sort of impact or smack. So to reverse states, you smack it again!!!

With key ON, gently grab wiring harness coming out of each handlebar control and gently wiggle it. Does dash turn on? Move aobut 10cm down harness and wiggle again. Then move and wiggle again. Repeat for other handlebar control. Also inspect harness connectors and disconnect and reconnect to ensure each one has good fit.

Something probably got knocked loose with no permanent damage. Just a matter of finding what that piece is by wiggling. Key to troubleshooting is scientific methodical testing with gathering lots of data (ideally quantifiable), and ruthless usage of boolean logic.
Thanks for the welcome, and pointers.. that's my Sunday job today.... appreciate it, will come back with any findings (hopefully!)
