That seems mighty unlikely to me. For one thing, unlike frame sliders, spools are not likely to hit the ground. I know from dropping my bike in the driveway... without frame sliders at the time... that the spools were nowhere near touching down.

Nevertheless, possible in some kind of weird circumstance, I guess.

What makes me skeptical is the thought that the bolts holding the spools on would hold up and "trip" the bike. They're not that large. I think they'd snap before they imparted enough force to flip the bike.
