Shoguns are one-crash sliders. The cantilever arm that holds the pad will bend with just a tip-over, causing it to rub on or crack bodywork.
The ones pictured above is slight improvement with pad centred on bracket. But bracket itself should be beefier.
Pad itself should be bigger to spread out load and not stick. Something like these would work better.
