I went from stock header with VW Superbeetle pipes to a custom exhaust I welded up in the garage. It was way too loud at first, so I actually cut it back open and fit baffles. People are surprised with the sound, it is much quieter than it looks like it should be. I was worried about the outlet heating up my right leg, but the down angle keeps everything in check.
