It's always something with vehicles, isn't it? I was taking the tank off and got to the big hose on the petcock. Take it off and get a small steady leak, no problem I think, just let the residual leak out into the towel I had handy. Keeps going for a bit so I grab a small 1gal gas can with a plastic hose shoved over the petcock outlet and let it drain, but it doesn't freaking stop. So I think maybe i'll get lucky and cycle it to pri from on then back to on. Dumb move lol, turned it to Pri and a large stream of gas starts pouring out. Back to on and it's still leaking.
LUCKY for me my gas tank is near full, lol
So since I obviously have a broke petcock, I'm gonna have to rig up some stand over a 5 gal container to hold the tank while it drains lol.
Mod lesson #1: Stuff can't just work, it's always something.
