I'm a firm believer of using stabilizer prior to anticipated winter storage, riding at least a few miles to assure mixture has penetrated carbs..... followed by bowl drainage.
There is also a "fake starting" procedure (while varying throttle positions) to fully clear all jets after bowl drain is done (petcock turned to OFF)
Also suggest not "warming bike up" over the winter storage season as not riding, (thus not bringing bike up to full temp) creates perfect conditions for invisible condensation damage. So once winterized, suggest to leave it be.
