Things I like about the J/R pants:
they are the same as my jacket, the side zipper is also on the liner so they are easier to get on and off with the liner installed.

Things I like about the Scorpion: the padding/armor in the hip is thicker than the JR,

The padding in the JR, I don't know much about padding/armor in these, but to me it sounds like "armor" is better than "padding" and the JR had "padding" in the hip area and the scorpion has "armor". How big a difference is there? I haven't looked at them recently but I think the scorpion has movable knee/shin "armor" where the JR has knee "armor" that isn't movable based on your size/shape. If I am mistaken on these, let me know.

I basically looking for something that I can pull on over my clothes.
