I know where you're coming from and I know you're right. Generally accepted best practice is to do a nice clean/inspect/lubricate job on a caliper when you change pads instead of just doing a pad slap.

HOWEVER... it's not your bike and it's not worth getting holier-than-thou about it. DEFY has been around here a while, not some newbie who's had to introduce his hand to a wrench for the first time. Asking once was enough; no need to be elitist.
