I'm glad it's something you can repair within reason. Also, wish I were closer, because I'd totally help with replacing the stator; I did a complete engine and wiring harness swap on a 650R a few years back, and have also replaced stators.
You've put a lot of work into the bike, and she's awesome, so I'm glad that it was a cry for help and not a swan song. Looking forward to updates!
