To break a collarbone the right way, you have to
really break it. Because if you don't have a clean separated and misaligned break, then you only get the "ClaviBrace" (TM) You have to wear them a long time, they are uncomfortable, completely restrict movement and your bone never heals with the best alignment.
But break it good enough and you get titanium reinforcement with screws. It heals straight, heals fast, and you don't have to have your arm in the immobilizing brace.
