Removed, disassembled, cleared/cleaned both fuel openings and *tiny* diaphragm. A 10mm socket shown for reference, note the black circle.
It gets captured into the valve...subject to intake/exhaust pulses, disallows or allows fuel passage, so the valve doubles as both a main jet and a plug on command. Simple, but so tiny, tricky to service.
These little carbs can go for up to $160.....so fix, avoiding replace.
Basic carb kit under $10!
My learning curve progressing...while keeping costs down for the 'scaper.
