A better picture may help. Maybe one with the left fairing off

Edit: I went outside and took my left fairing off and it seems that the pipe you are talking about is connected to the water pump and to a rubber hose above the starter. You should be able to drain the coolant through the water pump by removing a bolt (can't for the life of me remember which one) and after the coolant is drained it looks as if the portion of the hose connected to the water pump is held on with 2 bolts (they may have o rings for them idk) and then the upper portion is just fitted into the rubber hose above the starter and secured with a hose clamp. Hope this helps!

Edit to my edit: dont feel stupid asking!. I used to never be mechanically inclined but I had to start somewhere. Now I do all my own work and have saved myself and others hundreds if not thousands of dollars in labor cost.
