I know all about justifying gear. I spent $600 on a fox v4 and $300 on garne sg10s the next week after dealing with **** gear. To be fair though, my helmet was unsafe (crashed so hard that I dented the foam and it didn't fit right), and I used those boots until they disenegrated. (I litterly finished a motto at redbud, and more than half of the the boots were missing when I pulled into the pits).
