I am a new rider as well and I was always messing with my mirrors. I finally got them where I can see both lanes well, but now I cant see behind me. I simply tuck my elbow real quick and I can see behind me. It isnt a problem to do. I check over my shoulder as well. No need in spending $$$ when you can just take a quick peak
