there's no way that trannys don't hang.
you should be getting close to 200 miles before having to switch to reserve. fill up the tank (to the top), reset the trip meter to 0000 and then see how long it takes before the bike needs to be switched to reserve. Don't forget to put the petcock back to the ON position or you won't have a reserve to go to next time.
