CALLING ALL KNIFE GURUS!!!!
Looking for a 4 to 4-1/2" high carbon steel *>450 full tang fine edge fixed blade to keep in my pack, or keep on me full time. Any suggestions?
I saw a low dollar buck and a gerber that would possibly work (not full tang), but the blades are a bit short. Also, the spine has to be flat with a sharp 90* to fire off a firesteel with no issues. Any ideas?
Was also considering a
Schrade SCHF9. That beauty runs under $50, which is awesome. That would strictly be a packed knife. Still, I'd love to have one! I love knives....much more than guns.

A possible contender for a SS blade would be the
Gerber Ultra Compact Fixed Blade (only about $40)
