When you accelerate to 100kph, does engine go to 9000rpm, shift, rev from 7000 to 9000rpm, shift, 8000-> 9000rpm?
Or do you rev to 13000rpm, shift, rev 11000 to 13000rpm, shift, 11500 to 13000rpm?

The mid-range RPMs tend to be lazy with exhaust upgrade due to being lean (not enough fuel). While too-rich factory top-end high-RPM is perfect with extra air-flow. With carbs, you have to remove them from bike, disassemble and drill out the pilot-screw plugs and screw pilots all the way in and back out 3-turns. Maybe even shim the needles with a washer or two. Then re-install carbs, making sure you get all the hoses connected properly. Then if that adjustment isn't perfect, you pull the carbs again and make some more changes. Then re-assemble.

With EFI, you can fix so both mid-range and high-RPM is perfect with 5 mouse-clicks and you're done in 30-seconds.
