I've never had these types of bars so don't really know what to expect off-road. I'll only be on soft-to-medium dirt roads and was a fairly skilled technical dirt rider, but that was years ago. I do expect to still be capable, but comfortable bars of a good height may be more important than I've prioritized. But for now, yes, the tires are my first issue to resolve, as that'll set up the rest of the bike. I am really looking forward to seeing what's involved in switching them out to 17's. I'm intimidated by the idea of attacking this, but have my heart set on a dirt-friendly ride...which means dirt capable tires. Sigh. Show me the way, oh great wheel changer, show me the way!
