The power required for the EFI electronics and fuel pump etc is but a tiny fraction of what's required to turn over the starter, generally a flat battery isn't flat but just doesn't have enough juice in it to turn the starter motor, so in 99% of cases you can bump an EFI bike, I would also hazard a guess that if the battery is completely kaput, you could power it enough over the alternator to get it going.

I'm not too sure how the starter / alternator works on our bikes, I assume we don't have a dedicated alternator unit, but that's unimportant.

I've bumped my EFI ninja for practise, I found 10mph, dump into first and it fires right up' YMMV
