If you are near Kellihers or EWL store, you can easily pick up some heat-shrink wrap for much more durable joint. Or complete soldering kit. If you plan on keeping bike for while, there will certainly be other needs for soldering in future.

Hi, sorry for the slow reply. I managed to fix the problem using your method. I used heat shrink butt connectors. Lights are working fine now.
