Put on some gold reflective rim tape...
Was riding two up with my girlfriend on the highway and when I went to downshift I realized there was no shift lever to downshift with. I exited the highway with the bike stuck in 6th and had to stop short to avoid some jacka** that decided to stop at a green light.
Pushed the bike across the road and assessed the damage -- the bolt holding the shift lever on fell out (previous owner never used locktite on the bolt??). Pushed it for a bit and then was able to get it rolling in 6th with generous throttle and clutch feathering. Managed to putt into the dealership 2 miles away and get it fixed.
