Just got back from a 2300 miles round trip from Durango CO for a mtb race and I just passed the 70K mile mark. Bike is still going strong and still hits 100 mph from time to time when the head winds aren't kicking my a$$.
So 70K miles at an avg of 45mpg(since I'm almost always at over 70 mph with a mtb on the rear) is 1555 gals of fuel. Those same 70K in my Tundra would have been 5384 gals of Fuel. Being that I'm in CA we'll say gas has averaged $3.80 a gal for the past 3 years. 5384-1555=3829 gals saved or 3829x$3.80=$14550 saved riding the ninjette vs driving my truck. I think I'll go treat myself to a nice Ducati with all that money I've saved.
