I do have it mounted on the passenger peg bracket but I have no problem removing those. I sort of look at them as built in sliders! 
My shock didn't come with the bracket in that picture. Maybe I'll check the box again! Lol!

It should've came with that mount. It might have been hard to spot as its a fairly flat peice and it might've slid behind the foam pieces in the box. If not, I'm sure you could order it from Ohlins or better yet email them and they'll probably send you one free of cost.
